Connected via SnapTrade Webull Canada

Connect Webull Canada to Mozaic: your Webull positions alongside everything else.

Your Webull Canada cash, margin, TFSA, and RRSP accounts join the same multi-currency picture as your bank chequing, your credit cards, and any other broker you keep. Read-only, through SnapTrade. SnapTrade rates this integration beta, and we say so here rather than in a footnote.

01 · The connection

Webull Canada, through SnapTrade, read-only

Webull Canada reaches Mozaic through SnapTrade, the same broker-side aggregator that carries Questrade, Wealthsimple Trade, Interactive Brokers, and TD Direct Investing. You pick Webull Canada when you add a brokerage in Mozaic, authorise the connection through SnapTrade, and your accounts appear with their holdings and trade activity. What Mozaic receives is read-only: it can see what you hold and what it cost, and it cannot place a trade, move cash, or change a setting inside Webull.

One thing to set expectations on before you connect: SnapTrade rates this integration beta rather than generally available, and our supported institutions page uses the word the same way. Beta means coverage can be partial: an account type may not sync, transaction history may not reach as far back, and the link flow may add a confirmation step. A beta connection is also likelier to need an occasional reconnect after a change on the broker's side. Mozaic raises that as an in-app prompt when it happens, and reconnecting takes about as long as the first setup did.

02 · Four account types, no guessing

Cash, margin, TFSA, and RRSP

Webull Canada runs a deliberately short account shelf: cash and margin on the taxable side, TFSA and RRSP on the registered side. That is the whole list. Mozaic reads what SnapTrade exposes across them, keeps the registered status on each account, and rolls the balances into your net worth in your reporting currency.

Being clear about the list matters more than it sounds. Webull Canada does not currently offer an FHSA, RESP, LIRA, or RRIF. If you hold any of those, they live at another institution, and connecting Webull will not surface them. That is exactly the case Mozaic is built for: the first-home savings account at one place, the retirement money at another, the locked-in account from an old employer at a third, and one net-worth line that adds them up properly instead of four apps that each know a quarter of the answer.

03 · Webull quirks worth knowing

Commission-free pricing, currency sides, and CRA room

Webull Canada's commission-free stock and ETF trading is the reason a lot of people opened the account, and it has a small effect on tracking: with no commission on the buy, your book value is closer to a clean multiple of price and quantity than it would be at a broker charging per trade. Mozaic reads whatever cost basis the broker publishes, so the number you see matches the number Webull shows you rather than a figure Mozaic reconstructs.

Currency is worth watching if you hold US-listed positions. Each position keeps its native currency in Mozaic, and the daily rate is applied when Mozaic rolls values up into your reporting currency. A US position stays a US position, valued in USD, rather than being silently rebased into Canadian dollars.

CRA contribution room is the one thing no connection can give you. SnapTrade publishes your holdings and transactions, not your TFSA or RRSP headroom, because the CRA does not expose it to aggregators. Mozaic's TFSA tracker works from what you tell it plus the contributions it can see, which makes it a good running estimate and a bad substitute for CRA My Account when you are close to the limit.

04 · Beyond the brokerage

Webull sits in a bigger picture once it's connected

The point of connecting Webull is not to see your Webull balance. The Webull app does that, and it does it with more charts than anyone needs. The point is to see Webull alongside everything else: the chequing account the paycheque lands in, the credit card that eats it, the RRSP at whichever broker you opened first, and the TFSA you moved to Webull for the pricing. Mozaic composes them into one net-worth line, runs the cash-flow narrative across all of it, and tracks goals against the accounts that fund them.

A trading-first broker is good at telling you how one position is doing. It is not built to tell you whether you can afford the down payment in March. That is a different question, and it needs every account in the picture, not just the exciting one.

Five questions specific to connecting Webull Canada. General Mozaic security and pricing questions are answered at /security and /pricing.

Webull Canada offers four account types: cash, margin, TFSA, and RRSP. Mozaic reads the ones SnapTrade exposes on your login, with holdings and trade activity, and each account keeps its registered status so the TFSA and RRSP land in the right tax buckets. Webull Canada does not currently offer an FHSA, RESP, LIRA, or RRIF, so if you hold those they are at another institution and connect separately.
SnapTrade rates this integration beta rather than generally available, and we use the word the same way our supported institutions page does: coverage can be partial. Some account types may not sync, transaction history may be limited, and the link flow may show confirmation prompts a generally available connection does not. A beta connection is also likelier to need a reconnect after a change on the broker's side, which Mozaic surfaces as an in-app prompt. We would rather say that up front than have you discover it after connecting.
You sign in through SnapTrade, which brokers the connection and hands Mozaic read-only access. Your Webull credentials are not stored by Mozaic, and the access Mozaic receives cannot place trades, move cash, or change anything in your Webull account. If you ever want it gone, disconnecting in Mozaic revokes the authorisation.
Mozaic has a TFSA contribution-room tracker, and it works from the numbers you give it plus the contributions it can see in your connected accounts. It cannot read your official room from the CRA, because no aggregator publishes that. SnapTrade gives Mozaic your holdings and transactions, not your CRA headroom, so treat the tracker as a running estimate and check CRA My Account before you contribute close to the limit.
SnapTrade refreshes brokerage positions on a rolling schedule, and Mozaic syncs daily on top of that, with a sync you can run from the Accounts page. What you actually notice is settlement: Canadian equity trades settle the next business day, and only executed trades appear, never pending orders. For net-worth tracking that is the safer default, since an unfilled order is not yet a position.
