Creating your Mozaic account

You can create a Mozaic account with Google or with your email address. Every new account starts with a 14-day free trial, and you don't need a credit card.

Start on the sign-up page

The sign-up page is headed Get started and shows 14-day free trial · No credit card required. The same page works for signing in later: enter your email and Mozaic creates the account or signs you in.

You have two ways in:

• Continue with Google: pick your Google account and you're in.
• The email form: sign up with a magic link (the default) or with a password.

On the iPhone app you may also see Continue with Apple. On the web and on Android, only Google and email are offered.

Note: Inside apps like Facebook, Google sign-in doesn't work in their built-in browser. Use the email form there, or open Mozaic in your regular browser.

Sign up with a magic link

A magic link lets you sign in without a password.

1. Enter your address in the Email field.
2. Select Continue with email.
3. Mozaic shows Check your inbox. Open the email we sent you and click the link.

The link finishes creating your account and signs you in. If you open it on a different device from the one you used to request it, Mozaic asks you to confirm your email address, then select Complete sign-in.

If the link has expired or was already used, you'll see a message saying so. Select Back to sign in and request a new one.

Sign up with a password

1. Enter your email, then select Use a password instead.
2. Choose a password of at least 8 characters with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a special character.
3. Select Create Account.

Verify your email

Password sign-ups need a verified email before the app opens. You'll see Verify your email.

1. Open the email we sent and click the verification link.
2. Come back to Mozaic and select the continue button on the verification page.

If the email didn't arrive, select Resend verification link. You can resend once every 60 seconds. If you signed up with the wrong address, select Use a different account to sign out and start again.

Magic-link sign-ups skip this step, because clicking the link already proves the address is yours.

What happens next

After your first sign-in you'll see Welcome to Mozaic! and Mozaic takes you to a short setup wizard.

Your 14-day trial starts when you create the account. During the trial you can connect your banks and brokerages. When it ends without a card, your account moves to the free plan: nothing is charged and nothing is deleted.

If something looks wrong

• No email: check your spam or promotions folder, then resend.
• Forgot your password: on the sign-in page, select Forgot Password?, enter your email and select Send reset link.
