Income and expense report and balance sheet
Build an income and expense report for any dates and download it as PDF or CSV, or download today's balance sheet as a PDF.
Updated
Mozaic has two reports you can keep or hand to someone else: an income and expense report for any range of dates, and a balance sheet of what you own and owe today.
Income and expense report
The report lists your income and your expenses by category group for the dates you choose, with a total for each and the net (income minus expenses).
- Open Analytics from the sidebar and stay on the Cash Flow tab.
- Click Income and expense report. On a phone, it is in the chart's ⋯ menu.
- Under Range, pick This month, Last month, This quarter, Last quarter, Year to date, Last year or Last 12 months. To pick your own dates, choose Custom dates and set From and To.
- Under Columns, choose Total only, By month, By quarter or By year. If a choice would make too many columns for the range, it is greyed out and reads Too many columns for this range: pick a wider one, such as By quarter or By year.
- Under Compare, choose Previous period or Same period last year to add that range's figures in a column beside yours, or leave No comparison.
- Under Detail, choose Groups only for one line per category group, or Groups and categories to list each category under its group.
Download PDF saves the report as a printable statement. Download CSV saves the same figures for a spreadsheet.
How the figures are counted:
- It covers the accounts of the books you are viewing.
- Amounts are in your base currency and counted on the transaction date.
- Transfers and savings are not counted as income or expenses.
- A transaction in a currency with no exchange rate to your base currency is left out, and a note on the report says how many.
Balance sheet PDF
On the Analytics page, Balance sheet PDF downloads today's balance sheet in one click. It lists every account and asset under its group (Cash and bank, Investments, Other assets, Credit cards and lines of credit, Loans and other liabilities), with the total of each, your total assets, your total liabilities and your net worth. On a phone, the link is under the tabs.
The PDF covers the accounts of the books you are viewing, the same ones your net worth counts.
