Finding a transaction
Narrow the Transactions page with the chips and the Filter dialog, or use the global search for recent activity.
Updated
The Transactions page is filtered, not searched: you pick a type with the chips, then a period, status or payment channel in the Filter dialog. For your most recent activity, the global search at the top of the app is quicker.
Use the chips
At the top of the list, each chip shows how many transactions it holds:
- All: everything.
- Income: money coming in.
- Expenses: money going out that is not a transfer.
- Transfers: money moved between accounts.
- Uncategorized: transactions with no category yet.
- To review: categories chosen by AI that you haven't confirmed.
Narrow by date, status or channel
- Open Transactions from the sidebar.
- Select the Filter pill (on a phone, the Filter icon in the top bar). The Filter Transactions dialog opens.
- Under Select Period, pick Today, This Week, This Month, This Quarter or This Year. To pick your own dates, choose Custom Range and set a Start Date and an End Date (any date from 2000 to today).
- Under Status, choose Pending or Settled if you only want one of them.
- Under Payment Channel, choose Online, In Store or Other.
- Select Apply.
To go back to the full list, open the dialog again and select Clear Filter.
The list loads 50 transactions at a time; keep scrolling to load more.
Tip: To find an older purchase, combine a chip with a Custom Range of a few days around the date you remember, then scroll the short list that remains.
Search recent transactions
The search pill in the header (or Ctrl+K, Cmd+K on a Mac) searches across the app: accounts, holdings, quick actions and your most recent transactions, about the last ten. It matches the merchant or description and the category. Choosing a transaction in the results opens the Transactions page.
For anything older than your last few transactions, use the chips and the Filter dialog above.
Account groups change what you see
If you use more than one account group, the list shows only the group picked in the sidebar switcher. Choose All in the switcher to see every account again.
If something looks wrong
- The list says No transactions: check that no filter is still applied (select Clear Filter) and that the sidebar switcher is on the right group.
- A transaction is missing from a connected account: it may not have synced yet. Check the account's sync status on the Accounts page.
