Finding your way around Mozaic

The pages in the sidebar, the buttons pinned below them, and how the menu works on a phone.

Updated

Every page in Mozaic is one click away in the sidebar on the left. On a phone, the main pages sit in a bar at the bottom of the screen and the rest are under More.

The pages

Sidebar item What you find there
Dashboard Your net worth, holdings, budgets, goals, latest transactions and monthly spending on one screen.
Accounts Every account and asset you've added, their balances and their connection status.
Transactions All your transactions, where you search, edit and categorize them.
Analytics Your cash flow, your investment performance and your TFSA contribution room.
Budgets Monthly spending limits by category.
Goals Savings goals and how close you are.
Recurring Payments that repeat, such as subscriptions and bills.

The actions block

Below the pages, under ACTIONS, you'll find:

  • Add Account: opens the picker to connect a bank or brokerage, add an account or asset by hand, or upload a CSV file.
  • Sync Accounts: asks your connected banks and brokerages for fresh data.
  • A small status card: Synced with the time of the last update when all is well, or a note that some connections are paused or some accounts need attention.
  • Help: the help center.
  • Settings: your profile, subscription and preferences.
  • Logout: signs you out.

On a phone

The bottom bar holds Dashboard, Accounts, Transactions, Analytics and More. Select More to open the full menu with the other pages and the actions block.

A floating button also opens the same picker as Add Account.

Separate ledgers

If you keep more than one ledger, for example personal and business money, a ledger switcher appears under the Mozaic logo at the top of the sidebar. Pick a ledger to see its accounts and transactions. With a single ledger, the switcher doesn't appear.

From the dashboard to the details

Most dashboard cards link to their page:

  • Holdings links to the full list of your investments.
  • Latest Transactions has View all, which opens Transactions.
  • The budgets, goals and recurring cards each link to all of their items.

Tip: If the sync status card says an account needs attention, open Accounts and turn on the Needs Attention filter to see which ones.
