v1.4.5 · July 23, 2026
🔌 A reliability release: linking a bank at signup goes through, adding a manual asset can finish setup, and long transaction lists stop repeating themselves.
New
- Goals and Budgets open the same way. Both pages now start you off with the same first-run card, and the starter suggestions are no longer first-run only: a Suggestions action in the header brings them back once you already have goals or budgets of your own.
Fixed
- Connecting a bank during signup actually works. The Connect step took you through your bank and then never completed the handover, so the connection quietly went nowhere, for everyone who tried it. It now completes, you get a progress indicator while it runs, and a connection that finished while you moved on is no longer discarded.
- A property or other manual asset counts toward finishing setup. Adding one on the Connect step used to strand you on the setup spinner with no way forward. Adding an account by hand already worked; assets now do too.
- A hiccup reaching Google no longer breaks a page load. We check your session against Google's public keys on every request. When that check hit a stale connection, the page failed with an error. We now retry it, and your session is left alone.
- Long transaction lists stop repeating themselves. Scrolling down showed you the same transactions again and again, because each new page was asking for the first one. Pages now load in order, and the filters you set stay applied as you scroll.
- Credit cards and loans stop dropping out of view. With more than one linked institution, liability rows could vanish from the liabilities tab, your dashboard, and your net worth, so your totals were quietly short. The sync that dropped them is fixed, and rows your bank still reports come back on the next sync.
- More dark-mode polish across onboarding, the account panels, the dashboard figures, and the privacy screens, plus crash fixes on the paywall and the transaction drawer, and a steadier daily sync.
v1.4.4 · July 19, 2026
🔧 A fix-focused release: checkout and promo codes say what they mean, net worth ignores brokerage links that have gone dead, and merchant history searches your whole ledger.
Improved
- Finding the bank and brokerage lists. The menu and the footer on every public page now link straight to the full list of supported banks and the full list of supported brokerages. The nav and footer already pointed at individual institutions; what was missing was a link to the full hubs.
Fixed
- Promo codes tell you the truth at checkout. A code you aren't eligible for now says so under the field, instead of failing with a generic error at checkout. The Subscribe button also shows your first-period price with the discount applied.
- Checkout no longer crashes on a pricing hiccup. Opening checkout before prices had finished loading used to white-screen the app. You now get a loader and can try again instead of losing your place mid-upgrade.
- Expired trials go straight to the paywall. When your trial has ended, opening the app now lands you directly on the screen where you can resubscribe. Before, the home screen appeared for a moment first, showing numbers it could no longer refresh, then bounced you away.
- Net worth stops counting disconnected brokerages. Remove or retire a brokerage link and its accounts leave your totals right away. They used to linger with whatever balances they held on the day the connection died, so the longer it stayed that way, the further your net worth drifted from reality without saying so.
- A transaction's merchant history now looks at your whole ledger. Open any transaction and the detail panel shows what you have spent at that merchant before. It used to search only the transactions already loaded on screen, so a store you visit weekly could still read "no prior transactions" if your last visit fell outside the current page. The lookup now runs across your accounts, however far back it goes.
v1.4.3 · July 17, 2026
🧮 A maintenance release: a new free calculator, cleaner multi-brokerage connections, a smoother first sign-in, and a couple of dark-mode touch-ups.
New
- Capital-gains tax calculator. Enter your province, your capital gain, and (optionally) your other taxable income, and see the tax on a stock or fund sale. Free, no signup, in the /tools/ hub alongside our other free calculators.
Fixed
- Brokerage accounts stop doubling up. Connect more than one brokerage and each connection now stands on its own, so accounts land under the brokerage they belong to. Before, a second connection could attach its accounts to the first one, filing them under the wrong brokerage.
- Signing back in works beyond brokerages. When a two-factor check is needed, the re-authentication prompt now also appears while connecting a bank, checking out, or exporting your data. Those three used to end in a dead end with no way to continue.
- Signing in the first time. An interactive sign-in that occasionally needed a second attempt now completes on the first try.
- Dark mode reads properly on more screens. The category-rules screen and the low-confidence note on contribution room were washing out against the dark background. Both now use the dark palette and stay legible.
v1.4.2 · July 16, 2026
🧹 A tidying release: your holdings stay accurate when a position closes, brokerage reconnects are smoother, and dark mode gets a few touch-ups.
New
- A light and dark toggle on our public pages. The public site follows your device theme by default, and a toggle in the header lets you override it. Your choice is remembered on your next visit.
Fixed
- Sold positions leave your holdings. When your brokerage stops reporting a position you have closed, it now drops off your holdings automatically, so your portfolio reflects what you actually hold rather than what you held months ago. Your history, your live positions, and anything you added by hand stay exactly where they are.
- Reconnecting a brokerage. Reconnect no longer sends you into a brokerage that is no longer supported, which was a dead end with no way forward.
- Signing back in to a brokerage. When a SnapTrade connection needs another two-factor check, we take you straight to a re-authentication prompt instead of a dead end.
- Portfolio chart in dark mode. The history line was drawn in a color close to the dark background and effectively vanished. It is now drawn in Mozaic teal.
v1.4.1 · July 15, 2026
💌 A quick addition: your own invite link to share Mozaic.
New
- Invite friends to Mozaic. Settings now has an Invite friends page with a personal link you can copy and share anywhere. It also shows a running count of how many people have signed up through it, so you can tell whether a link you shared actually landed.
v1.4.0 · July 14, 2026
📈 A public-site release: a new free comparison tool, a clearer pricing page, and dark-mode polish.
New
- Portfolio vs index tool. Pick up to 5 stocks or ETFs, choose a benchmark, and see how an equal-weight buy-and-hold portfolio would have stacked up against it over time. Useful for answering "would an index fund have done better" without building a spreadsheet. Free, no signup, in the /tools/ hub.
Improved
- A clearer pricing page. One plan, a monthly or annual billing toggle, and straight answers about what the trial includes and what happens when it ends.
Fixed
- More dark-mode contrast polish: the dashboard insight note, the sync status pills, and the public site's security panel now read properly against a dark background.
v1.3.0 · July 13, 2026
🌙 A quick follow-up to v1.2.0, led by a full dark mode and three new free calculators.
New
- Dark mode, top to bottom. Every screen in the app now has a proper dark theme, down to the loading splash. Choose Light, Dark, or System under Settings, Appearance. The public site follows your device automatically.
- Three new calculators. Free RRSP room, RESP with the CESG grant, and net-worth calculators, no signup, in the /tools/ hub alongside the TFSA one.
Improved
- Set an account's type and keep it. Correct the type on a connected account, say from Cash to TFSA, and it now sticks. The next brokerage sync used to overwrite your correction along with everything else it refreshed, so the account kept reverting.
Fixed
- Scrolling a long transaction list no longer duplicates rows as new pages load in.
Security
- Hardened our public email links: unsubscribe and one-click actions are now scope-bound, time-limited, and rate-limited, so a link signed for one action cannot be reused for another, and vote links now expire.
v1.2.0 · July 8, 2026
🌊 Everything we shipped in the two weeks after v1.1.0.
New
- Cash Flow view with a Sankey diagram. Under Analytics, watch income flow in and spending flow out as one picture. Tap any band to see the transactions behind it, and export the whole view as a PNG when you want to keep or share it.
- A dashboard that answers first. Net worth is now the hero figure, with a plain-English cash-flow verdict and an "up next" strip right below it, so the first screen answers "am I okay this month" without any digging. We also stopped showing an alarming "month so far" verdict on the 2nd of the month, when two days of spending says nothing yet.
- In-app card entry. Enter your card and convert your trial without leaving the app for a separate checkout page.
Improved
- Accounts, decluttered. Everything for an account now lives in one slide-in drawer: edit its currency, manage it, or disconnect it without clicking through three pages.
- Recurring, unified. One calendar-first view with separate lanes for income, bills, and transfers, plus color-coded dots so a single glance tells you what is about to leave your account and what is arriving.
- Faster transaction lists and syncs, a redesigned transaction detail view, and a tidier settings menu.
Security
- Per-user envelope encryption is live in production. Sensitive fields are encrypted with a per-user key held in Google Cloud KMS, and we have tooling to rotate those keys.
Accessibility
- Keyboard navigation across the app and its sidebar, screen-reader labels on our shared money widgets, and AA-contrast text.
v1.1.0 · June 22, 2026
📅 Everything that landed in the two weeks leading up to v1.1.0.
New
- Recurring and bills, done right. A new Recurring page shows what is paid, upcoming, and overdue, with a calendar view of bills and subscriptions. Income, bills, and transfers are split into clear lanes, and credit-card rows show your minimum payment due and statement balance, so you can see what you owe without opening your bank.
- TFSA and FHSA contribution room, together. Both now sit on one page, with a new FHSA estimator, and you can enter your net deposit as the starting point when your own records beat ours. There is also a free public TFSA contribution-room calculator (no signup) in the new /tools/ hub.
- A Passive Income band in cash flow. Dividends and interest now appear as their own band instead of being folded into general income, with a drill-down into the dividend and interest transactions behind it.
- See it before you connect. Sign-up is trimmed and manual-first, with magic-link login, so you can look around the app and add an account by hand before linking a bank or brokerage.
Improved
- Works even when the network doesn't. Transaction edits you make offline are saved and replayed on reload, and a banner tells you when what you are looking at may be stale rather than letting you assume it is current.
- An auto-categorization on/off toggle, faster daily syncs, and a batch of reliability fixes.
Security
- Added reCAPTCHA Enterprise protection on sign-in.
