The Mozaic roadmap

What is being built now, what comes next, and what is still being weighed. Plans move; shipped work moves to the changelog.

Now

What is being built at the moment.

  • A second way to connect a bank. For the banks our main connection provider struggles with, RBC with 2-step verification first among them, a backup route through a second provider, offered right in the bank picker.
  • Balances that refresh when your bank does. The nightly sync and "Sync now" can still leave a stale figure on the dashboard in a few cases. The last of those are being closed.
  • A brokerage refresh that fails says so. A failed refresh could leave accounts marked as syncing with the error wiped. It will name the problem and offer the fix.

Next

Planned, in roughly this order.

  • A cash-flow forecast. Project your balance forward from your recurring bills and income, and get a warning when a payday will not be reached.
  • Which book a budget or goal belongs to. With business and personal books, a budget or a goal will say which one it reads from.
  • What a connection will be like, before you start. Which accounts arrive, how often they refresh and what the bank cannot send, without a wall of warnings.
  • A budget with nothing spent looks different from a budget with no accounts behind it. Today both read as $0.

Later

Being weighed. Not promised.

  • A native iOS and Android app. The web app works in a phone browser today. A store app is being weighed against what it costs to keep two more builds current.
  • Shared books. Two people on one set of books, with each person's data kept under their own key. The encryption model is the open question.
  • Transfers between your own accounts on the cash-flow page. Matching both sides so a move between your own accounts stops reading as spending.

Already shipped? It has moved to the changelog.
